From University to Refinery / Presenting Lorestan University's Capabilities and Capacities at the National Petro-Refining Event

In line with increased interaction with industry and the transfer of new knowledge to refining industries, Lorestan University participated with a specialized booth in the national Petro-Refining event at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Shazand Oil Refining Company on December 9th and 10th, presenting the capacities and scientific and research capabilities of the university.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this national event, which was held with the aim of exchanging experiences and the latest achievements in the field of refining and petrochemicals, provided a suitable platform for introducing the scientific and research capacities of the university.

In this booth, professors and experts from Lorestan University presented research centers, outputs, and research achievements in areas related to oil, gas, refining, and petrochemicals directly to managers, engineers, and experts present at the event.

These achievements are the result of applied research and research contracts with the industry.

The presence of Lorestan University at this event is a step towards achieving the goals of the university's interaction with the industry, and especially strengthening cooperation with the large Shazand refining complex and other companies active in this field.

This action can lead to solving technical challenges, developing technology, and training the specialized human resources needed by the country's industry.

Officials of the Shazand refinery and visitors to the university's booth welcomed the scientific and research capacities of Lorestan University and its readiness for joint cooperation.

Also, in this event, faculty members of Lorestan University presented their research outputs orally and in the form of posters.

Dr. Hossein Hatami, Vice President for Research and Technology of Lorestan University, was present at this national event. He visited various booths.

It is expected that this presence will provide the ground for concluding more memoranda of understanding and research and educational contracts between Lorestan University and the refining industry of the country.
