Visit of Lorestan University Civil Engineering Students to the Under-Construction Imam Reza (AS) Interchange Project in Khorramabad

Coinciding with the commemoration of Research and Technology Week, civil engineering students from Lorestan University visited the under-construction Imam Reza (AS) grade separation project at the entrance of Maskan Mehr in Khorramabad.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, during this visit, which was attended by Engineer Habibollah Khani, the workshop supervisor, Engineer Salari, the project's executive operations officer, Engineer Behzad Baharvand, the supervisor of supervision and the employer's consultant (Khorramabad Municipality), Hojjatoleslam and Al-Moslemin Ansari, the project's cultural officer, Dr. Ehsan Moemeni, the director of the civil engineering department of Lorestan University and the consulting professor of the university's civil engineering student scientific association, and Dr. Amirmohammad Amiri, a faculty member of the civil engineering department of the Faculty of Engineering of Lorestan University, students became closely acquainted with the project's executive issues.

During the visit, the project's executive and design team explained various details of the project to the students.

Engineer Khani, the workshop supervisor, while introducing the project, pointed out that the construction of the intersection will facilitate traffic flow in the city's main artery and alleviate traffic congestion in the passage of residents of the neighborhoods adjacent to the project.

Khani said that the construction of the project will provide easy access to the under-construction Niyayesh Hospital.

The project's executive team emphasized that with more budget allocation, the project will reach the operational phase more quickly, and citizens will be able to pass through the Imam Reza (AS) grade separation.

The project's design and implementation team, while providing a technical report on the geotechnical status of the project, explained to the students about the pile-driving machines and the piles used in the project.

Dr. Ehsan Moemeni and Dr. Amirmohammad Amiri also presented the project's educational points to the civil engineering students of Lorestan University.

Some technical specifications of the project are as follows:

Project Title: Construction of the Imam Reza (AS) grade separation at the entrance of Maskan Mehr, Khorramabad.

Employer: Khorramabad Municipality.

Consultant: Mehraze Rah Ab Consulting Engineers.

Contractor: Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters; Road and Urban Development Holding, Rah Saze Institute.

Contract Amount: 2323 billion Rials.

Contract Duration: 24 months.

Guarantee Period: 24 months.

Maximum Design Slope: 5.72%

Road Width: 9.8 meters.

Number of Traffic Lanes: 2

Hollow cellular deck with a length of 140 meters, including 4 spans of 35 meters each, with 3 intermediate piers and two entry and exit ramps with lengths of 178 and 128 meters.
